Local government elections for TNRD regional district area representatives are held every four years. The next scheduled general local election is Saturday, October 20, 2018.

This website has information about the voting process, including when and where to vote, and what to bring.

All Candidates Round Table + Forum

On April 27th there are two separate events in Merritt providing an opportunity to hear from Fraser-Nicola MLA candidates.

 From the Merritt Herald:

All four candidates will square off in Merritt on April 27 for two all-candidates forums. At 1:30 p.m. Q101 will broadcast an all-candidates roundtable at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology, which people can attend in person.  

The Chamber of Commerce will present another all-candidates forum the civic centre, which will be hosted by Herald editor Cole Wagner. At the civic centre forum, each candidate will be given four minutes to make an opening statement, followed by a question and answer period. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and will be closed as of 6:30 p.m.

Ajax Mine All Candidates Forum

The Kamloops Area Preservation Association has invited council candidates and representatives from KGHM-Ajax to a forum on November 7, 2011 at 7 p.m. in TRU’s Ike Barber roundhouse.
