So long Woody Life, hello Kami Log Cabins

From this new website called Kami Log Cabins it looks like we have a vacation village in the community. There's some interesting and somewhat conflicting information on the site. For example, the link to the "register" page takes you to a form to request information:
If you would like more information about KAMI at lac le jeune including selling schedules, please complete this registration.
Yet these bold letters are at the bottom of every page:
THIS IS NOT AN OFFERING FOR SALE.
On the "about" page the description needs a little editing. :-)
Just two hours from Vancouver, nestled between pine...
I think the pine trees came down last week! And I think 2 hours from Vancouver won't get you much beyond Hope.

Anyway, I don't have any information about the project, but thought others might be interested in seeing this site.

I might be able to do Vancouver to LLJ in 2 hours if I flew up! Downtown Vancouver to LLJ via float plane! Probably cost around $1,500.00 though.

Maybe the 2 hours takes into account that we no longer need to stop at the toll booth…no, that would still be 3 hours! Bev

"and your own private lake" that is far from a lake. I have spent my entire life up there and you couldn't pay me to swim in there. That whole devolpment was a joke when Derrick first built it.

Firstly, the lake referred to is not a lake but a pond. This pond is for summer kayaking or canoeing only and for winter skating. Wish to swim, use the lodges large heated indoor pool, or take ashort walk to Lac Le Jeune and swim there!
Secondly, the clown " Evilhomer " making the joke in the last post is a joker himself.
Lac Le Jeune Wilderness Resort is a First rate development. See for yourself at the website:

Thanks for the update! The cabins look really nice.

In 2008 when this was posted the only thing we had to go by was a sign posted near the road, and the old "Kami" website. Residents couldn't help but giggle at the claims posted at that time. The revised website has more accurate information, and the pine trees are starting to grow back!

We appreciate that you're keeping us in the loop on what's happening in our community. We're a curious bunch :-)
