The View From Here

The View From Here
Familiar scene? This quilt by Lac Le Jeune resident, Jenny Perry, is part of a Fibre Art Network traveling exhibit called "Canadiana" which opened in New Zealand in January 2015.
"Participants were asked to explore, in fibre, their sense of place in Canada, considering its history, environment, the people, culture [including food, outdoor activities, music] and its uniqueness."

Isn't it cool? I love looking at the detail. Lots of thread in that quilt!

Beautiful work Jenny. Would love to see it in person
Will that show be at CQA this year, or someplace in B.C.? I would love to see all the works of art on display

Thanks for the kind comments1 This piece, based on a photo I took on the Little Lake, is part of FAN's Canadiana exhibit which will be shown at the Tulista Gallery in Sidney, BC, from May 1-8. Additional venues will be added for this exhibit over the next two years. At Quilt Canada this year in Lethbridge AB, FAN will feature an exhibit called On The Wind and I'll have a piece in that exhibit as well. I'll also have a piece in the National Juried Show at Quilt Canada.
