Question: Where do I take my garbage?
Answer: The transfer station is about 1 km north of Walloper Lake on the west side of the Lac Le Jeune Highway. The hours of operation are as follows:
Winter: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summer: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Tip: Gord who manages the station has biscuits if you take your dog! :-)

Please do not forget to recycle. We can take our recycling to Logan Lake ( they take almost everything) or go to Kamloops at the end of McGill Road. TNRD is sponsoring good compost containers and worm composting containers. Available at a discount to TNRD residents...at Lyons Landscaping. Call first to make sure they have some in stock.
Thanks for the reminder to recycle, Bev. Lyons Landscaping reports that those worm composters are flying off the shelf! They should have some in later this week.
We probably need a blog post about composting, especially tips so we don't attract bears.
